Baadshah (1999) may not be counted one of superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s finest films, but it sure made it crystal clear that King Khan was not just great at romance, but had good comic timing too. Paired since the female lead opposite him was Twinkle Khanna, and the supporting cast consisted celebrities such as genius comic Johnny Lever, Amrish Puri and Rakhee.

Directed by filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan, the movie was expected to be among the best trademark thrillers with numerous twists and turns, but instead the audience was amazed to discover that it had been really about a bumbling, intelligent detective Baadshah played by SRK, who, in a classic case of mistaken identity, is embroiled in a high-profile assassination assignment, and how he at the end, saves the day for everybody.
Though the movie did not end up being blockbuster at the box-office, the tunes were a hit to Voh Ladki Jo Sabse Alag Hai, even today one can not help but float along if the tunes are played.
