SRM Institute Of Technology And Science Attains Benchmark Of International Quality Through The IET

International accreditation awarded to four BTech flows  

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur campus secured that the IET’s international accreditation for all of its four technology classes. The IET accreditation is an internationally recognized benchmark, given to programmes which provide an perfect preparation for aspiring specialist engineers.  

The IET is one for the technology and engineering community and IET accreditation covers a wide array of technology and technology subjects.   It is recognized across the world as a sign of quality via the Washington and Sydney accords, governed by the International Engineering Alliance (IEA).   Institutions with IET Accredited programmes are eligible to apply for the EUR-ACE label, given by National Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE).  

SRM Institute of Science and Technology applied for IET Accreditation in and Electronics and four of their BTech programmes and Instrumentation, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Automobile Engineering are now licensed. The accreditation will have a positive impact spreading over five batches from 2017-2021. At the close of the period, a review will be held, clearing that, the accreditation could be extended to another 2 years. In addition to supporting the grade of the institution’s programmes, IET Accreditation provides benefits to students. It allows better international mobility, job exchanges and approval of graduate students opportunities for interdisciplinary research, in universities as well as prospects.
