Last week BOGOTA: Venezuela’s leading prosecutor Luisa Ortega, who fled on the state that was socialist, has made Colombia for Brazil, Colombia’s migration bureau said on Tuesday.
“Today the attorney general of Venezuela, Luisa Ortega Diaz, abandoned en route to Brazil,” the bureau said in a statement.
Ortega, who has become a vocal opponent of the famous government of Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro in recent months, arrived along with her legislator husband in Colombia on Friday, saying she feared for her entire life. President Juan Manuel Santos said on Monday Ortega asylum would be granted by him when it was asked by her.
